Dr. Ron Cottrell has been in private practice in the city of Vista, CA for more than 20 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University Fullerton where he competed as an NCAA Division I wrestler. He then pursued his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic, and post graduate credentialing as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner from Southern California University of Health Sciences. In addition to private practice, Dr. Cottrell is very active in the local sporting community, serving as the Team Chiropractor for Rancho Buena Vista High School Football, and assisting with the athletic training programs at Oceanside High School, Vista High School, and Vista Pop Warner Football.

Dr Cottrell is very passionate about keeping young athletes safe and healthy as they train and compete in their various sports.  He has extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries of all kinds.  In addition, he has been performing pre-participation physical exams for the past two decades on thousands of athletes, with the goal of detecting potential injuries before they occur.

In 2016, Dr Cottrell became certified as an FMCSA Medical Examiner. With this certification, he is licensed to perform medical exams for the Department of Transportation and has medically certified hundreds of drivers to safely operate commercial motor vehicles.

As a health and fitness enthusiast, Dr Cottrell applies the principles of healthy living to his everyday life and feels very blessed to have the opportunity to lead others down that path.  He is extremely grateful for every opportunity he gets to partner with each patient, discover their individual goals, and map out a plan to achieve those goals by combining joint manipulation, soft tissue techniques, and therapeutic exercises.
